If you have an out-of-pocket balance that you cannot pay in full, you may set up a payment plan to spread your payments across the semester.
Cheyney University offers an interest-free monthly payment plan through TouchNet to help students and families manage remaining costs. The plan is designed to break your out-of-pocket costs into manageable installments throughout the Spring 2026 semester.
How the Payment Plan Works
Once you determine your remaining balance (total charges minus anticipated aid and scholarships), you will make a 5% down payment at enrollment. After the down payment is made, the system automatically divides your remaining balance into equal monthly payments (at max of 5), which are to be paid over the course of the semester.
- Payments run January through April, with each installment drafted on the 25th of the month.
- To have the benefit of all five monthly installments, students are encouraged to enroll within the recommended timeframe (December or January).
- Payment plans may be set up by students or authorized parents.
Why Enrollment Timing Matters
While enrollment remains open until March 1, 2026, later enrollment results in fewer installments and higher monthly payments.
For example:
- A $3,000 remaining balance for someone who enrolled in January = 5 payments of $600
- The same $3,000 balance for someone who enrolled in March = 3 payments of $1,000
The Spring semester spans January through May, and student accounts must be paid in full by the end of the semester to be cleared for the next term. Installment payments end April 25—they do not extend into May.
How to Enroll in the Payment Plan
- Log in to CU Experience.
- Click the TouchNet experience card.
- Select Enroll in Payment Plan.
- Under “Payment Plan Enrollment,” choose Spring 2026.
- Review the plan details and click Select.
- Follow the instructions to complete enrollment.
Automatic Payments and Updating Your Payment Method
Monthly payments are automatically deducted from the credit card chosen during setup. Payment methods may be updated at least 5 days before the next scheduled due date.
