Cheyney University welcomes students who want to transfer from another college or University. If you are not seeking a degree from CU and are only interested in taking single courses, please look at Special Admissions to see which option best suits your needs.
Transfer applicants must have completed a minimum of 12 college-level credits (post high school graduation, but not including the summer after senior year) and have achieved at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA). Students must also be in good academic, financial, and judicial standing at their previous and/or current institutions in order to be considered.
- Transfer credits will be evaluated by the Office of Admissions and the University Registrar. Please keep in mind that credits may transfer to Cheyney, but GPA will not.
- CU graduates returning to take undergrad courses or CU undergraduate students looking to earn a 2nd undergraduate degree are considered transfer applicants.
- All of the above must complete a transfer admission application, submit the application fee, and transcripts from all institutions attended by the stated deadline to be considered for admission.
