Your Success in the Classroom
Doing well academically is the cornerstone of being successful in college, so we designed a three-pronged approach to supporting you with your coursework. Your academic advisor will provide you with guidance by recommending courses and helping you plan your class schedules. Our on-campus Academic Success Center provides ongoing assistance and development to maximize your academic achievement and to help you become a more efficient and effective learner. We also offer supplemental instruction and tutoring services to solidify your understanding of course concepts.
Your Success on Campus
Our dynamic First-Year Experience (FYE) program is designed to enhance our first-year students’ academic and extracurricular experiences and support your transition to college life. Our full-time Success Coaches are good listeners and will give you great advice, as they help you successfully navigate life on campus. We also offer innovative health and wellness programs, as well as engaging workshops and presentations throughout the academic year. Also, our 20+ student organizations provide many opportunities for you to get involved and develop your leadership skills.
Your Success in Life
As much as we value your education, we understand that it is not the ultimate objective. Instead, we see your educational experience as a means to an end. Our objective is that, when you graduate from Cheyney, you will leave prepared to take on the world. Through internships, research projects, and our study abroad program, you will be given opportunities to actually apply what you’re learning in the classroom out in the real world–in real time. Our Career Development Services will work with you to map out your career and make sure you’re prepared when job opportunities come knocking are your door.
