Transfer Credits at Cheyney University
Cheyney University values the contributions and experiences that transfer students bring to our community. If you previously attended and are in good standing at a recognized, accredited college or university may apply to Cheyney University as transfer students with advanced standing.
Transfer Admission Requirements
To be considered for admission as a transfer student, applicants must:
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 from the most recently attended institution.
- Submission of official transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities. Failure to disclose prior enrollment may result in dismissal or loss of transfer credit.
- Applicants with fewer than 24 earned credits must also submit an official high school transcript.
Transfer Application Process
All transfer applicants must:
- Complete the Transfer Admission Application
- Provide final official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended. Transfer credit evaluation cannot be completed without official transcripts.
- Provide final official high school transcript for students who have earned less than 24 credits.
Cheyney University accepts credits only from institutions accredited by the following:
- Higher Learning Commission (HLC)
- Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE)
- New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE)
- Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU)
- Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)
- WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC)
