Through advanced placement and credit for International Baccalaureate (IB) exams, students can begin their Cheyney career a few steps closer to the end.
Advanced Placement
Students enrolled in high school Advanced Placement courses can take Advanced Placement examinations in May, administered by the College Board, Princeton NJ. This test determines the extent to which they have succeeded in meeting the college-level demands of the course descriptions. Applicants earning advanced placement grades of 3 or higher are given advanced standing and college credit as appropriate.
To be considered for credit, students should arrange to have their score report sent to the Cheyney University Office of Admissions by College Board.
International Baccalaureate (IB)
IB examinations may also count towards courses at Cheyney University (CU). This advanced, comprehensive program of study offers an integrated approach to learning across disciplines with an emphasis on meeting the challenges of living and working in a global, technological society.
IB requirements for most majors range from 4-7. Official transcripts should be mailed to the Office of Admissions at Cheyney University.
