Leonard Brown

A class of 2017 alumnus, Leonard is now an In-Store Partner/Sales Representative with the Fortune 500’s Kraft-Heinz company. While at Cheyney, Leonard participated in several honors conferences as both a speaker and an attendee. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. He made it a point to take advantage of everything the University had to offer, most notably a fully-funded, study abroad opportunity in Norway where he studied leadership, peace and environmental sustainability. He also spearheaded several community-based leadership projects, including The Good Neighbors Initiative, and completed a total of six internships and one intensive.

Samuel Owusu

Biology major and class of 2018 Valedictorian, Samuel will intern this summer at the Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, NY, where he will conduct original research under the instruction of world-class scientists. Following his internship, Samuel will enroll in a post-baccalaureate program at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. Last summer, he was one of a select group of students to participate in the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Minority Health and Health Disparity International Research Training Internship program, where he conducted research and volunteered in hospitals across Jamaica.
