Emergency Preparedness

While we hope the situation never arises, Cheyney University has taken steps to be prepared for an array of emergency situations. The University has established an Emergency Operations Plan, which provides a guideline for the management of the immediate actions and operations required to respond to an emergency or disaster.  The campus Emergency Operations Plan encompasses the facilities, services and the administration of the campus.

Our main priority during a disaster is the protection of lives. Secondarily, we seek to preserve valuable research, property, community assets, and the environment. Once the immediate emergency has passed, our objective is to manage the process of restoring University academic and research programs and services.
