Our goal is to provide freshman and transfer students with the necessary information, and connections to key resources, staff, faculty and students that will help our new students to be successful throughout their college journey at Cheyney University. Some freshmen will take the Accuplacer exam, which helps the university to place incoming students in the appropriate courses. Students can click the link below to learn more about the Accuplacer exam and how to best prepare for it.
As a part of the admission and orientation process, students must take the Reading, Writing, and Mathematics Accuplacer assessments to be placed in the appropriate English and Math courses. Students may be exempted from taking the placement test should they provide SAT or ACT scores to the University. The Accuplacer tests administered are Reading, Writing, and Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics. Each of the three tests consist of 20 multiple choice questions. It is a good idea to prepare for these tests. Here are some study resources: https://accuplacer.collegeboard.org/students/prepare-for-accuplacer/practice
