Important Information About Homecoming
Students must present a valid student ID to gain entrance to the student event(s). The Housing Office’s Guest Policy will be in full effect during this event.
Students are required to uphold the standards of campus student conduct. Click here for more info on Student Code of Conduct. Failure to meet these standards may result in suspension from campus activities and/or expulsion from the university.
Welcome Home, Alumni! Below are the instructions for your homecoming tents:
- Tent space cost: $300 Payment Link
- Tent space must be reserved by COB ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE EVENT.
- Tent set-ups are only permitted during the week of the event on Monday-Friday between 8:30 am to 5 pm. NO tent set-ups are allowed on the day of the event.
- A list of all persons assisting with tent set up by way of the main gate must be emailed by the points of contact. Please contact Vendor Services and Events at vsande@cheyney.edu
- Please be prepared with all food, equipment, and additional resources for the day of the event. All tents must be (re)stocked between the hours of 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. NO parking or unloading on University Circle will be allowed after 12 pm to ensure the flow of traffic remains clear. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in towing at the owners’ expense. - All waste, which includes charcoal, grease, garbage, recycling, and food from your rented space must be cleared and disposed of at your expense at the end of the event (The event ends at 8:30pm). Failure to do so will result in a cleaning fee.

Guests are only permitted to attend events open to the public. Uninvited guests will be escorted off campus.
You can view the events open to the public in the events list above.
Please be aware of event blackout periods. No outside guests will be permitted to visit our campus prior to the event. Visitation on Homecoming Day will be from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. There are no exceptions. Any violation of this directive will result in additional disciplinary action.

- NO outside guests after 8 PM
- The cost for parking is $10 a vehicle. You may pre-pay online or pay at the gate the day of the event. Cash and cards are accepted. Payment Link
- You must follow our parking staff’s instructions to ensure quick and safe entry and exit during the event.
- STUDENT PARKING: All students with vehicles must move vehicles to the designated spaces in the Parking lot A (Wade Wilson) and Parking Lot B (Motorcycle Lot). Failure to do so by Thursday before the event could result in vehicles being towed.
- ALUMNI PARKING: The names of all alumni attending the Alumni breakfast and General Body meeting the morning of Homecoming (Saturday) will be on a list at the university front gate. The gate will open to these alumni 8am Saturday morning. Alumni not attending these events will park at PARKING LOT B (Motorcycle Lot) beginning at 9am. Please prepay or be prepared to pay at the front gate.
- Special Needs: Handicap spaces are available but limited. A Handicap parking plague or tag is required to access a designated handicap area. Additional assistance is available if requested.
- Readmittance: Readmittance will result in additional parking fees and loss of original parking space.
- NO PARKING IS PERMITTED ON CHEYNEY, CREEK, and WESTOWN ROADS OR ANY AREAS SURROUNDING CAMPUS AT ANY TIME. Parking on these roads is strictly prohibited and will result in your vehicle being towed at your own expense.
- Please present your receipt upon entering the security gate on campus; we will verify your license plate matches the information provided when you purchased parking.
Parking ends at 8:30 pm SHARP. Vehicles will not be permitted to enter campus after 8:30 pm and will be turned away.

Safety is our number one priority. You must adhere to the following safety guidelines:
- Weapons are not permitted on campus.
- Smoking and Drinking is not permitted on campus.
- Please secure personal items in a safe location out of sight or on your person.
