We know how important a college education is. We also know the positive difference that a Cheyney degree makes in the lives of our graduates. That’s why we do our best to welcome back students who, for a variety of reasons, take time away from pursuing their degree.
Eligible Returning Students
- Students who take a semester off, leave in good academic standing and do not attend another institution. They must complete a readmit admission application (there is no application fee) by the stated deadline in order to be considered for admission.
- Students who take a semester off and are on academic probation. To be considered for readmission, these students must show positive progress by taking courses and earning a minimum 2.0 GPA.
- If the courses are taken at CU as a non-degree student, the student can apply as a readmit student, and must complete a readmit admission application (there is no application fee) by the stated deadline.
- If the courses are taken at another institution, the student must apply as a transfer student.
- Students on conduct suspension. These students must receive permission to return from the Office of Admissions, and must show positive progress by taking courses before being considered for readmission and earning a minimum 2.0 GPA.
- If the courses are taken at CU as a non-degree student (6 credits maximum), the student can apply as a readmit student, and must complete a readmit admission application (there is no application fee) by the stated deadline.
- If the courses are taken at another institution, the student must apply as a transfer student.
