As a student at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, you have the right and opportunity to participate in local, state, and national elections. Here’s what you need to know about registering to vote: 

Who is Eligible to Register? 

  • You must be a U.S. citizen. 
  • You must be at least 18 years old on or before the next election. 
  • You must be a resident of Pennsylvania and your election district for at least 30 days before the election. 

 

How to Register to Vote 

Online: 

By Mail: 

    • Pick up a voter registration form from the Student Affairs Office or the campus library. 
    • Mail your completed form to your county voter registration office. 

In Person: 

    • Register at the Chester County Voter Services Office or during on-campus voter registration drives. 

 

Registering with Your Campus Address 

  • Students can register using their Cheyney University address or their permanent home address. Choose the address where you want to vote. 
  • If you use your campus address, include your residence hall name and room number. 

 

Key Deadlines 

  • Voter registration forms must be submitted at least 15 days before Election Day. 
  • Check the Pennsylvania Department of State website for upcoming election dates and deadlines.
