Instead of navigating multiple websites, the Portal brings Cheyney’s most essential applications together through a single login experience.
What You Can Access Through the Portal
The Cheyney Portal serves as the primary entry point for many of the University’s core systems, including academic, administrative, and learning platforms. As Cheyney continues to enhance its digital environment, additional tools and services will be made available through the Portal.
Banner for Administrative & Student Services
The Cheyney Portal also provides access to Banner systems, which support key administrative and student services functions.
- Banner Self Service allows users to view and manage information related to enrollment, records, and other student or employee data.
- Banner Administrative Access (Experience Portal and AppNav) supports University operations and internal workflows.

How to Create a Person Record in Banner
Desire2Learn (D2L)
D2L is Cheyney University’s official learning management system and is accessed directly through the Portal. Students use D2L to engage with course materials, submit assignments, take quizzes, view grades, and communicate with instructors. Faculty use D2L to manage course content, assessments, and class communication. If you are enrolled in a course or teaching during the semester, D2L will be one of the most frequently used tools within the Portal.
