How do I gain access to my student's information?
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) gives students certain rights with respect to their education record. We use a Parent Portal, through CampusESP to facilitate a parent’s request for student information. In order to gain access to your student’s information, you must complete the following and your student must approve the request. Parents, guardians, and others wanting to gain access to their student’s information need only to:
-
Visit the CampusESP website to Sign Up - Click on the Sign Up Link (pictured here)

- Create a new account using an email address that you check regularly.
- After creating an account, to request access to a student’s information, click the graduation cap at the top of the page to ‘go to my connections’

- From here, ‘add a connection’ by inputting your student’s Cheyney email address, your relationship to the student, and a PIN number that you will need to reference when calling campus.
- The student will be emailed the request and will need to confirm your access via this email in order for you to gain access to the student’s information.
