Emergency Notifications

Emergency notifications are alerts issued by the Cheyney University Police Department through text, email, public address, and/or other methods to inform the campus community about a significant emergency or dangerous situation involving an immediate threat to the health or safety on campus. These alerts are intended to allow campus members to take appropriate precautions to remain safe.

Timely Warnings

Timely warnings are a specific type of notice related to compliance with the federal Clery Act, which requires colleges and universities to notify students and employees whenever there is a threat that a serious crime is ongoing or may be repeated.

Public Safety Announcements

Expanding our commitment to the safety of our students, staff and faculty, Public Safety Announcements are issued to alert our community to potentially dangerous situations beyond what is required by the Clery Act. This can include suspicious activity or concerning behaviors.
