The Office of Institutional Effectiveness serves as a resource for assessment, accountability, and informed decision making at Cheyney University. We are responsible for the University’s efforts in institutional planning, stakeholder accountability, and educational effectiveness, as well as helping to shape and facilitate compliance for ongoing accreditation. To those ends, the Office is dependent upon a strong collaborative relationship with Cheyney Institutional Research.
Recognizing that data is most useful when it translates into planning and decision making, the Office provides leadership in developing a reliable, comprehensive program of planning, data assessment, and research that ensures our ability to make informed resource allocation and policy decisions. Key to this focus will be a data-driven approach to problem solving and decision making at all levels of administration.
Additionally, the Office serves as a centralized unit focused on assuring that the University meets all necessary compliance requirements for our continued participation in State and Federal programs such as Title III, Title VI, and Title IX. Further, the Office routinely reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of the University’s policies and procedures to assure that they are at all times aligned with our mission, vision, and core values.
