At Cheyney, we know that internships are an important part of the professional development that prepares you for the future. They provide an opportunity to gain practical knowledge of a profession within your major, internships allow you to take what you learn in the classroom and put it into action in real-world situations.

We strive to ensure that our students are more competitive in today’s global market. That’s why the Internship Institute — a dedicated collaboration between Faculty, Experience Providers, and the Career Development Center — is designed to bridge the gap between the world of academics and the world that awaits you after graduation.

We actively encourage all students to participate in at least one internship or field experience opportunity before graduation.

Whether paid or unpaid, for credit or not for credit, Internships enhance your knowledge base through experience outside of a formal classroom setting. That’s why you’re encouraged to seek internship opportunities early. For more information on internship sites for the current academic year, please visit the Career Development Center Today!
