Summer Early Transitions (S.E.T.)
The Summer Early Transitions (S.E.T) program at Cheyney University is by invitation only. Below is a brief overview of the program, its services, and expectations.
The program provides the students with an early start towards earning six college-level credits towards your degree program. Students will take a total of two classes for a total of six college-level credits toward the degree program the student selected. The program is intended to enhance students’ transition from high school to college while will residing on campus.
In addition to on-campus housing and meals, additional specialized services include:
- Advising – regular contact with faculty and life coaches who can provide assistance with academic and course selections.
- Mentoring – regular access to academic mentors who can provide advice on studying and balancing academic and extra-curricular activities.
- Tutoring – priority access to tutoring services and effective study skills. Students will also receive Math and Writing skills building.
Program Timeline: The program will start on Sunday, June 25th, and end on Friday, July 28th.
Mandatory On-Campus Housing: This is a residential program and all students are required to live on campus. Move-In will occur at 9am – 12pm on Sunday, June 25th.
Cost and Financial Aid: The total cost of the program is $3,979. All students must complete a 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 FAFSA form. Both FAFSA forms must be completed by June 1st.
Lastly, students must pass both of your classes in the program with at least a “C” grade or better. We have confidence in our invited students’ ability to be successful.
